Privacy Policy

Glow is a personal wellness app. To build a plan that fits you, it needs to know things about you — including things that are private. This page explains exactly what we collect, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how to get rid of it.

Glow is operated by Ethan Ellis. You can reach us at hello@findyourglow.app about anything on this page.

Who can use Glow

Glow is for people 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth during setup and don't allow accounts for anyone under 18. We don't verify identity documents, so this relies on you telling us the truth. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we'll delete it and the data attached to it.

What we collect

Account information

Your email address, and an account identifier. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and name from them — we never see your password.

Your profile

Name, date of birth, biological sex, height, weight, goal weight, and unit preference. Biological sex and age affect how your plan is calculated, which is why we ask.

Fitness information

Your goal, experience level, how many days a week you train, available equipment, activity level, injuries or physical limitations, preferred workout time, and everything you log — completed workouts, sets, weights, reps, streaks, and personal records.

Nutrition information

Dietary restrictions and allergies, cuisine preferences, grocery budget, cooking time, meal prep habits, shopping day, and your meal logs and adherence.

Skin and style information

Skin type, skin concerns, budget, current routine, active ingredients you use, whether you wear makeup and sunscreen, and your routine adherence. For style: your proportions, typical dress code, getting-ready time, clothing budget, and any wardrobe items you add.

Menstrual cycle information

Only if you turn cycle tracking on. We store the start date of your last period and your typical cycle length, and use them to adjust your training during your period.

Photos

Progress photos, if you choose to take them, and photos of clothing if you add items to your wardrobe. These are handled differently — see the section below.

Location

If you allow it, your approximate location is used to look up local weather so your outfit and skincare suggestions make sense for the day. We don't store your location or attach your identity to the weather lookup.

Subscription information

Whether you're on a trial, subscribed, or lapsed. Payments are processed by Apple, not by us — we never see your card details.

Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store a notification token for your device so we can send you reminders and updates.

How we use it

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who else receives your information

Glow is built on services that handle parts of the job. Each one receives only what it needs.

Supabase

Stores your account, everything in your profile, your logs, and your photos. This is where your data lives.

Anthropic

Builds your personalized plans. When Glow creates a workout, meal plan, or skincare routine, it sends the relevant parts of your profile — things like your age, goal, equipment, injuries, dietary restrictions, or skin concerns — to Anthropic's API. It does not send your name, email, or account identifier. Anthropic does not use this information to train their models.

Apple and Google

Process your subscription payments and, if you use them, handle sign-in.

RevenueCat

Manages your subscription status. Receives your account identifier and purchase events.

Resend

Delivers our emails. Receives your email address and the message being sent.

Expo

Delivers push notifications. Receives your device's notification token and the message.

Open-Meteo

Provides weather data. Receives approximate coordinates with no identifier attached — they have no way to know the request came from you.

A note about your photos

Progress photos never leave our storage. They're kept in a private area that only your account can open, and they are never sent to any other company or service. Nobody but you can see them.

Wardrobe photos are handled differently. When you add a clothing item, the photo is sent to Anthropic so it can identify what the item is and file it correctly. If you'd rather that not happen, don't add photos to your wardrobe.

A note about cycle tracking

Your period dates and cycle length stay in your account. They are never sent to Anthropic or any other company.

To be precise about one thing: when your plan is being built during your period, the instructions we send include a general nutrition note — for example, favoring iron-rich foods. That note is derived from your cycle, but no dates, no cycle length, and nothing identifying you is included. We'd rather tell you that than make a blanket promise we can't fully stand behind.

How long we keep your information

While your account is active: as long as you have an account.

If your subscription lapses: we keep your data so your plan and history are waiting if you come back. After 60 days we'll email to let you know your account is scheduled for deletion. After 90 days, we delete it.

If you delete your account: your data is deleted, including your photos. Some records may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your information. Email us and we'll honor them.

How we protect it

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted at the database level so one account cannot read another's information. Progress photos are stored privately and are only accessible to the account that uploaded them.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email rather than expecting you to notice.
